Overview

As a leading clean K-beauty skincare brand, Beplain pursues natural, physical, and mental health in all aspects of it’s brand identity from ingredient selection to manufacturing, design, and marketing. Building on the success of launching the brand in Korea, Beplain was ready for overseas expansion. By collaborating with Disrupt and utilizing the necessary marketing services at each stage we saw tremendous growth in their international eccom sales.

What we did

Phase 1
Facebook and Instagram Ads

In the early stages of the collaboration, the focus was on creating and executing Facebook & Instagram ad content to drive traffic to the Amazon sales page and increase Amazon sales. A bridge page was created between Amazon and Facebook/Instagram to collect potential customers' emails, and the leads that were gathered were utilized in retargeting ads, providing discount coupons, and other performance marketing tactics to improve ad efficiency. After Amazon rankings and sales were on track, more focused consulting was provided on the overall strategy for overseas business, building and improving the ecommerce store, and performance marketing.

Phase 2
Establishing a strategy for overseas business

We started by defining OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for our overseas business, followed by developing strategies to achieve our goals and establishing a framework and process for our operations. To further expand and achieve our overseas business goals, we defined the necessary positions and personnel required, as well as how to organize our internal structure, and created an organizational chart for our overseas business division.

Phase 3
Shopify store setup and optimization consulting

After deciding to focus on D2C for the overseas business direction of that year, we concentrated on building and optimizing an ecommerce (Shopify) store. We provided specific advice on how to design the website UX/UI, design the sales funnel, and collect and analyze data in order to secure potential leads, increase conversion rates, average order value, and repeat purchases.

Phase 4
Ad Consulting

Once the Shopify store was optimized, we provided consulting services for performance marketing (Facebook/Google) to increase sales on our overseas ecommerce site. For Facebook ads, we gave objective feedback and improvement suggestions on targeting strategies, campaign structures, iOS 14 changes affecting pixel and conversion tracking, and creatives. For Google keyword ads, we provided feedback on ad messaging and campaign structure. Through these efforts, we gradually improved ad efficiency and increased overseas sales volume.

Images are a powerful tool that can elicit a strong response from your audience, and it's especially important to make them impactful in advertising. We used a new approach to showcase the before-and-after results of our product, which caught consumer attention and effectively communicated the product's efficacy in a more intuitive way than traditional photo comparisons.

VIDEO ADS

To increase the percentage of potential customers who stop scrolling and show interest in the ad by watching the video (Thumb Stop Rate), we created different versions of the video intro using dynamic effects, animation, compelling text, and result metrics. We then conducted A/B testing to find out which creative performs better, based on data-driven modular creative strategies.
